FIRST...

(You find this in the bottom-left of your screen on Desktop)
I have not found an add account button/item. So am stymied.
I have tried the link account three times. Each time after typing in the verification code I get "Unexpected error" but no suggestions on what to do for remediation.
So dissatisfied at the moment.
By the way I did this sucessfully a few days ago for 2 of 5 accounts to be linked, But now it fails.
Connecting your bank account is my top priority, @LarsInTigard. Let me chime in and provide some details to resolve this.
Before anything else, may I ask what bank are you trying to link with QuickBooks? I appreciate any extra information you can give, and it will help us isolate the issue and provide the best solution.
Then we can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses. Let's start accessing your account using a different or a private browser. You can use either of these shortcut keys:
Once logged in, re-connect the bank to verify it's already performing adequately. If you're able to do so, we'll have to go back to your normal browser and clear the cache to drop the junk files. Otherwise, we can use other supported browsers.
Once the bank account is connected, your recent transactions will automatically be downloaded into the system. Please proceed to the Banking tab and click Update to show the data in the For Review.
If issue persists, we can manually upload the transactions in your account. For detailed steps, you may utilize this article: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Online.
Once done, categorize the data to avoid any duplicates. Lastly, reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements.
Let me know if you have follow-up questions about linking your account in QuickBooks. I'm eager to help always. Stay safe!
I currently have a Desktop version and when I click on Banking there is NO "ADD BANK ACCOUNT"
