Converting a .QBO file into a CSV file is easy peasy. And I'd be happy to guide you through the steps.
However, if you don't have this option, you can consider looking for a third-party application that can help convert the file.
After converting the file, you may want to import your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed manually. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Manually import transactions.

Something like “First you’ll need to install software that supports qbo files. Install XXXXXXX then open a the qbo file using the XXXXXXX program. You’ll then have export options.
The issue with the answer is that it literally answers nothing about how to open that file type.
If the file has been downloaded over a year ago, how do you convert the .QBO file to an excel or other form in windows?
