Hello there, @RidinDirty.

Let me assist you in fixing your issue with QuickBooks.

You can perform basic troubleshooting to see if it's a browser issue or not. This way, you can clear the outdated file that causes a small problem with your bank feeds. Please open your QuickBooks via a private browser.

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Then, check your QuickBooks Balance if it's showing already. If you're able to do so without any errors, you can switch back to the main browser to clear the cache. You can also try using other browsers to isolate browser-related issues.

I've also added an article to help you download your bank transactions manually in QuickBooks Online.

If you have other concerns, please don't hesitate to leave a message in the comment section. I'll be happier to help. Take care, and have a great day.

This does not address her issue at all.  This is a problem with the "new" format.

Thanks for the clarification, @erbrel.

I’m here to help and ensure you’ll be able to see both your bank balance and QuickBooks balance in the Transactions menu.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can switch between Business view and Accountant view. This lets you view your account from a different perspective. The view you’re currently using right now is the Business view. To see both your bank balance and QuickBooks balance, let’s change it to the Accountant view.

Rest assured, changing views doesn't affect your accounts or data. To learn more about this, check out this article: Switch between Business and Accountant view in QuickBooks Online

To change the view of your QBO account, go to the Gear icon and select Switch to Business view or Switch to Accountant view. I’ve added a screenshot below for your visual reference.

Let me also add this article that you can guide you in reconciling your accounts effectively in QBO: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

I’ll be around if you have other follow-up questions in mind. It’s always my pleasure to help you any time. Keep safe and always take care!

Hi, I am having the same problem, I can no longer see the Quickbooks balance, only my bank balance, I have tried switching views, as it was already on Accountant view, I have cleared cache, and restarted by computer, but can still only see my bank balance, not QB balance?

I have the same problem - on the transaction page it no longer displays both balances.  You can see them both on the home page.  This is NOT in the register itself, but in the view of all the accounts at the top.

This is not a problem with my accounts that have not been updated to the new view.

This is not a browser issue.  This is a change with the new "updated" format.
