Hello -- Is there a way to reset an unfinished reconciliation back to when I first opened it?

Thanks!

Hello there, Michelle0531.

I can share details about resetting or undoing reconciliation in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you haven't saved the reconciliation yet, you can resume the process. Then, just remove the checkmarks on the transactions and begin the reconiliation again.

Here's how to do it:

  1. In QBO, go to the Bookkeeping or Accounting menu at the left pane.
  2. Proceed to the Reconcile tab.
  3. Click the Resume reconciling button.
  4. Remove the checkmarks on the transactions and start reconciling again.

However, if you already saved it, you can undo the reconciliation. For the detailed steps on how to do it, consider checking out this article: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

To know more about managing and reconciling accounts in QBO, you can refer to these articles:

I also recommend visiting our website for more tips and other resources you can use in the future: Self-help articles.

Please let me know if you have additional questions about this or anything else QuickBooks. I'll be more than happy to answer them. Take care.

Thanks for the help.  I have not finished reconciling, but it has been a year since anyone reconciled so there are many entries.  Maybe I should just keep plugging along.  Thanks again!
