Even though you were fixing Error 185 (a bank login/connection issue), QuickBooks still has to access the company file during bank updates, and that process can trigger a 6000-series error if the file has underlying issues.

In most cases, this is resolved by moving the file to a local folder, renaming the .ND and .TLG files, and running Verify/Rebuild Data.
