Question

Can a quickbooks let me run a mobil app or use a tablet in the field and then later sync with my desktop mac at home?

My husband runs service calls. We need him to use a quick book version on a mobil device (tablet, iPad or laptop) in order to make invoices. I need to be able to somehow "sync" with the desktop version of Quickbooks for Mac at home.  How? Help?
Thanks

You can use the QuickBooks mobile app and use sync with your QuickBooks account. You will sign in using the same log in credentials.

If you are using an iPad, make sure you download the Mobile app and not the QuickBooks Online for iPad app. You will need an online account for that app.

The QuickBooks Mobile app doesn't sync with QB for Mac??? Or is there something new I haven't learned about  yet?

You can set it up for multiuser on a laptop using LogMeIn Hamachi.  There's a little square article on that:

Of course you'll need a way to connect from the portable.

As a follow-up to this inquiry, I have QuickBooks for Mac version 2019. With this newer version is it possible to keep time on my iPhone using QuickBooks for Mac 2019 and then merge that time or upload it to my desktop computer at the end of the day ?  Or is QB online still the only real option ?

Hi there, Dasan.

For now, this option is only available in the online version of QuickBooks. I'll be sure to forward this feature request to our product engineers.

We are constantly updating our product's features, and this might be included in the future.

Feel free to leave a comment on this thread if you have any other questions or suggestions. Thanks.
