Transactions not downloading

One of my credit card accounts has stopped downloading transactions as of June 2, 2024.  The bank is "ally" and all the transactions are displaying properly on their website.  I tried disconnecting the account, then reconnecting it.  At that point, Quickbooks asks for the login credentials to that account, which I supply.   After that, it runs through an animation saying "Bringing money in transactions" "Bringing money out transactions"  "All done".  However, there are still no transactions past June 2, 2024.

Many months back, I was in a chat with intuit, and they did a screen share.  They noted the problem and told me that this was a known issue and that they were to escalate the case.  Well, huge surprise, I never heard back and the problem persists.  I tried to get into a chat with intuit today, twice, but, huge surprise, no one ever joined the chat, and it timed out, starting over.

Has anyone encountered this problem and found a solution?  I'm unable to import statements manually, because the only option for download is .PDF

QuickBooks Online (QBO) depends on the bank information that the financial institution, Tim. I'll help you acquire those transactions to make them available in your company file for easy tracking.

Please note that depending on the bank you're using, they can provide 30 to 90 days' worth of transactions. Since you're trying to download transactions from the previous year, the system can't add them to your company file through the download option. In this situation, you can contact your financial firm to get a copy downloaded using the correct file format that QBO accepts. However, if they can't provide a CSV format, consider looking for a file converter that can modify the PDF statements you have. To learn more about the accepted format when uploading transactions, check this page: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, proceed to upload the CSV file to your QBO company. These are the steps:

  1. Go to Bank transactions and select the tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  2. Select the Link account ▼ dropdown, then select Upload from file.
  3. Click the Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then, select Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, select Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then click Continue.
  6. Select the transactions you like to import. You'll then select Continue and then click Yes.
  7. When you're ready, click Done.

UPDATE - I just noticed that despite the transactions missing, the account balance is correct, as verified with the Ally website.

Thanks Kurt.  I found that Adobe has a free online PDF converter to XLS, then from there I can save as CSV, fix some formatting, then upload that file.  Have a good week!
