Buy nowI reconciled and entered the wrong ending date. I researched what to do and everything says to go into the register and find the transactions and change the R to a C and then reconcile again. The problem is In that month there were no transactions. I just want to change the ending date.
@Pam Morin You have a few options depending on what the ending date you chose was.
First, if the ending date was, say, 1/15/2025 as opposed to 1/31/2025, just do a second reconciliation for 1/31/2025; no transactions are no transactions, so it won't affect anything.
Second, you could get in touch with someone who has the Accounting version of QBO to do it for you; Intuit doesn't allow normal QBO users to play with the nice tools, for whatever reason.
Third, you could call Intuit and try to navigate through the customer support maze until one of them fixes it for you.
Other than that, you could just safely ignore it and let it wash out on your next month's reconciliation; you weren't actually reconciling any transactions for that month anyway.
Hello, Pam. I’d like to help you out by showing you how to fix the end date of your reconciled account in QuickBooks Online.
I agree with what FishingForAnswers suggested regarding unreconciling transactions when there are none. You can perform a second reconciliation for the right date since it won’t affect anything.
Additionally, you may want to seek assistance from an accountant with a QBO Accountant subscription. They can help you undo an entire reconciliation and ensure the accuracy of your accounts.
