Client Request feature missing. Can someone help?

I do not have a button to send a client request on my QBOA. It is supposed to be under Work > Create client request. I was told by QBO support that some new accounts are part of a pilot where the feature is being moved under the Client List. But when I go to the Cient List and client click on the client name as instructed, I still do not have the new tab or button. I have no way of sending a client request.

One of the reps had me clear the history, go into multiple browsers, different computer, etc. The result is the same on every browser and every computer, so this really isn't a browser issue. I have also received several follow-up phone calls regarding my open cases to see if I was still having this issue. But nothing has changed and I am still not able to send client requests.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? How do I go about getting the programming team to expedite addressing this?

I was given two case numbers # 15123005036 and 15123008398.

Thank you.

We appreciate you bringing this one to our attention, Drumelie.

We commend you for contacting our support agent and performing the basic troubleshooting steps to verify that it is not about any browser's performance. I've checked our records and there's no reported case where the Create client request button disappears from the Work and My Accountant tab. In this case, we recommend contacting our QuickBooks Accountant Support Team. This way, they can check your account securely to see the root cause of this matter and initiate an investigation. Here's how:

  1. Click the Help button.
  2. In the QuickBooks Assistance chat box, select Talk to a human and or tap the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  3. Then, type in your reason for contacting us in the What can we help you with? Box and click Continue.
  4. From there, choose a way to connect with us; either to Chat with us, get a Callback, or call our support line directly by getting our Phone number.

Thank you, but this isn't very helpful. As stated, I had already contacted QBOA support and was given case numbers.

We tested this with various browsers and multiple PCs on my end. It is not a browser issue. I do not have a button under ‘Work’ to ‘Create client request.’

I was eventually told that my QBOA account is part of a pilot group for new accounts, where the feature is being changed to be under ‘Clients’. I was told to click on the client name from the Clients list, and that there should be a Request tab. But unfortunately, there is no Request tab or button under Clients, either. So I have no way of sending a request to a client.

The ability to send client requests is an important basic feature. So how can I get this taken care of?

Just want to say that I also do not have a 'Client Request' button via the 'Work' tab.

I have 'Manage Templates' and 'Create Projects' buttons but that is it.  No 'Client Request' button.

I use Linux operating system rather that Windows, don't know if that makes a difference.

I had the same challenged, worked with Intuit support with no solution. Ended the session without them being of much help. Even the suggested clearing of the cache will not work. Please follow these simple steps to rediscover Client Requests.

Login to your practice account

Switch accounts to the Client account

Select books review on the left MENU,

The Client request tab should now be available to the right

Select the drop down to create a new request.

Let me know if this has helped you. And QB support should use this for any other Clients having challenges.

Today I’m encountering a new issue with the Client Request feature in QBOA.

The request appears under Your Practice > Work, but when I click the Share button, nothing happens, the feature does not respond.

Additionally, I noticed there’s a Beta option labeled “Try the updated tool.” When I switch to this version, the Client Request section disappears entirely, and I only see options for “Manage templates” and “Create project.”

Could you please clarify:

  • Why isn’t the Share button functioning in the current view?
  • Whether the Client Request feature has been removed or relocated in the updated tool.

Thank you for your assistance.

It's not the perception we want you to have in using the Client Request feature in QuickBooks Accountant (QBOA), MLom. After reviewing your situation, it appears that the disappearance of the Create Client Request button from the Work and My Accountant tabs requires further review.
