Let's install your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro Plus on your other computer. However, let me first share some info.
Yes, we can install and register your QBDT to other computers as you normally do. However, using them simultaneously is only applicable if you have a multi-user license.
You might want to learn about QBDT hosting and multi-user mode. Feel free to read this article: Host your company data in multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop.
For additional questions about utilizing your QBDT on another computer, click the reply button below. I'll be willing to help you. Keep safe.
Make sure you don't run QB on both machines at the same time.
I'm the only person in my company and want to install this on my laptop as I only have it on desktop. How do I do that? Download it on laptop but i think it requires my product key and license. Where do I find that info?
Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
Login to CAMPS and you will find your license code there.

It's also essential to ensure your laptop meets the system requirements to run the QuickBooks Desktop 2024. I can provide you the steps on how you can log in to CAMPs:

I had this on my laptop and now for some reason it is gone. I called [removed], and they tried to charge me $1500 to fix it!?! I figured it must be a scam as I came back across the state to my office desktop and can use it here, and they told me I wouldn't be able to.

I am preparing a move and I want to experiment by loading my quickbooks pro plus 2024 on my laptop but still leave it active on my desktop
Hey there, Kevin. I appreciate you joining in the thread.
You are able to install your license on two different devices as long as you don't run them at the same time.
It's also important to note that if you have a one-user license, you won't be able to sync the changes on your company files from both computers.
However, to access the company file simultaneously on different devices, you'll need a multi-user license for two users. Press F2 on your keyboard and refer to the number listed in the User Licenses section to find out how many user licenses you have.
Before installing QBDT on your laptop, create a backup of your company file to save your accounting data. This is to reassure you that if you ever run into problems, you can use your backup to restore your data.
After this, we can restore your company file to the newly installed QBDT program on your laptop.
To see your newly restored backup, you can refer to this helpful article to learn how to customize the data on your reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
This thread is open anytime if you have more queries on accessing your QBDT Pro Plus 2024 on another device. I'll be around the Community space and get back to you swiftly.
You have a QB Desktop 2024 with a single user license, correct? You can install your license on 2 different machines as long as you don't run them at the same time. Login to CAMPS and make sure your license is active.
How is the information transfer between computers
The information can be transferred to several methods in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Maine. Let's discuss this further below.
Transferring information between computers relies on local data storage and varies based on whether you're using a single or multi-user license.
If you're using a single-user license, you can utilize the Migrator tool to transfer your QBDT data. It's important to note that when using this feature, you're the Company Admin.
Additionally, if you're using a multi-user license, you can use the hosting feature in QBDT so you can use it on a different computer that you set up. Press F2 on your keyboard and refer to the number listed in the User Licenses section to find out how many user licenses you have.
Moreover, you can also manually transfer your company file to another computer by creating a backup company file.
