Install Quickbooks in a new computer

I purchased QuickBooks desktop pro plus 2024 and installed it in my old computer. It is for one user. However, my old computer did not function well and I bought a new computer last week. How can I transfer my QB from my old computer to the new one? It is for one user, am I allowed to install it in the new computer? Thanks.

Install Quickbooks in a new computer

Yes, you can install QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024 on your new computer for the same single user, Hao.

 

Step 1: Prepare for the install.

 

 

Step 2: Download QuickBooks Desktop on Your New Computer

 

If you don’t have the installation file available, you can download QuickBooks Desktop directly from the official QuickBooks Product Downloads page. Select the correct version (Pro Plus 2024) and save the installer file.

 

Step 3: Install QuickBooks Desktop

 

  • Open the installer file on your new computer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install QuickBooks.
  • Enter your license number and product key when prompted.

 

After you install it, QuickBooks will ask you to activate and update it. If you need help, here's how to activate QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Note: You can also install or move QuickBooks Desktop to another computer, using the Migrator Tool.
