I had been on QBDesktop for 20 years and thought I'd like to give QBOnline a try but didn't like the structure of it at all, so I called Quickbook associates to help me get back over to QBDesktop, well after numerous attempts they didn't have a clue. I was recemented to a company called Four/way/QuickBooks Inc. they wanted to charge me 4 thousand dollars to get me started plus charged me amounts of money to attend meetings and if you missed a meeting on the phone, they would charge 50% of the cost If I couldn't attend. I'm not making this stuff up it's the truth! I decided to just try myself and see if I could do I, so I looked at videos and printed off materials to follow step by step, I DID IT IT WORKED! I'm 74 years old and half nuts now, and I did it, except it was one thing that didn't migrate, it was all the work I did in each of my companies in QBOnline for two months and it was a lot of work! My question is how I get them over without not paying them thousands of dollars to migrate? I hope someone can help me I would appreciate it so much. Thanks

I'm happy to provide some additional info about migrating from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
While there are many similarities between the two QuickBooks platforms, there are also many differences. These differences cause certain data to convert differently or not migrate at all. The work you entered in QBO may not be able to convert to the Desktop system.
The following article provides additional info about how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
Please review the details from the article to see how the data moves between platforms, and see whether or not the work you entered is able to migrate. If you need a hand with anything else, please drop a comment below.

I think people are confused with my migrating, when I exported from QBOnline to QBDesktop, I got all my files back except for the work I put in online during the 2 months I was using that software, then I realized "I don't like this program and decide to export, but once again the work I did was a lot on both of my companies and I didn't get that work! Why didn't this work I did on QBOnline go over to my Desktop? When I tried again, I just put dates to cover what I did and tried to migrate but no such luck! Thanks, Warren
