I have QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2016 on my old computer. I recently bought a new computer and would like to move QuickBooks to the new computer and I am trying to understand the following:
1) Is there a way to move QBD Pro 2016 to the new computer?
2) If not, what do I need to purchase to get Quickbooks Desktop on my new computer? If it's the upgraded QuickBooks Desktop version, do I install it on the new computer only?
3) What is the process for moving the data from the past few years moved from the old computer to the new computer.
4) Are there any other considerations I should be thinking about?
Thank you in advance for any help and guidance you can provide.

I can help you with moving your QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2016 on this new computer, @ljw0700.
First, make sure that your computer's operating system, hardware, software, and other requirements are compatible to run QuickBooks Desktop 2016. Then, ready your product and license numbers.

Once done, you can now install this to your new PC:
After that, activate your QBDT:

Which Windows OS do you run on the new machine? Win 10 or 11?
Hi
I'm trying to install QB Premier Desktop 2016 on a new computer and can't get past a screen requiring activation. It says Browser not supported. I was working on a Windows 10 laptop previously with a single user licence, but that computer is not working properly so I have replaced it. I am now on a Windows 11 PC with Chrome installed (which should be supported) but am not getting anywhere. Can anyone help? Many thanks.
QBD 2016 is outdated and doesn't support Win 11 natively. Try reinstalling it in Win 8 compatibility mode on your Win 11. If the same error persists, consider to purchase a one time license for QBD 2020 or 2021 to upgrade your version.
