Last Week, QuickBooks Desktop 2024 Accountant Release 13 was out and we installed it on all our workstations. Today, Release 13 is no where to be found and it now shows Release 11.
See: QuickBooks Download page

1. Exactly Why was R13 pulled?
2. What should customers do who already installed Release 13?
3. Why weren't customers Notified?

QuickBooks Accountant phone support claims they have no idea.

@Marc-FL  Well, judging by the avalanche of people complaining about QB's latest update garbling their reports, memorized or otherwise, I may have some guesses.

Thanks. Can you point me these comments?

@Marc-FL  There are more scattered throughout the first several pages of the community, but here's one with a fair number of comments in it:

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, Marc-FL. I appreciate your detailed information.

Release 13 (R13) for QuickBooks 2024 was released officially today, Febuary 25, 2025. This update includes System Configuration settings and the ability to Search in reports for the Accountant version.

You can learn more about the update in our Release notes for QuickBooks 2024 article.

If you've already installed an update, and it was somehow uninstalled, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

They can be reached while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In your top menu bar, go to Help, then QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue in our Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) field.
  4. Select Continue.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with updates which may come in handy moving forward: Update QuickBooks to the latest release

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have a great Tuesday!

Do you know why R13 no longer appears on the Update page?
