You'll want to make sure that firewall ports are correctly configured for specific QuickBooks programs or files so you can successfully update your tax table.
If firewall ports didn't configure automatically, you can do it manually. Please check this article for the detailed steps: Set Up Firewall and Security settings for QuickBooks Desktop.
Then, close and reopen QuickBooks. However, if you encounter error when updating tax table, you can run the Verify and Rebuild tool to self-identify and self-resolve any data issues.
