2021 1099-NEC Forms

I have QBO Plus.  The 2021 1099-NEC forms are now 3 part, but QBO is still formatted for 2 part.  HELP?

I'll share some updates about when Form 1099-NEC with 3 pages will be available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

As of now, Form 1099-NEC is not yet available in QBO. We're unable to specify when these forms will be available in QuickBooks. But usually, these will be available within the second week of January 2022. 

 

Rest assured that the 1099- NEC with three pages form will be available before the due dates. We'll keep you updated with its availability through email or pop notifications inside your account.

Will (and when) QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2020 be updated for the three/page 1099-NEC forms? My software says I am up to date.

 

I have purchased the three vendors/page forms locally, but the format/output in the software is still in the two vendor/page format.

I can share some steps to help you print the 1099-NEC forms for three (3) pages.

 

You can run a manual update to ensure the update syncs your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. 

 

Here's how:

 

Step 1: Uninstall QuickBooks Desktop for Mac:

 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. From the Finder menu, click Go Applications.
  3. Drag the QuickBooks icon to the Trash.

 

Step 2: Reinstall QuickBooks:

 

  1. Go to QuickBooks Downloads & Updates.
  2. Ensure to choose the correct country, product, and version.
  3. Select Search.
  4. Click Download to download the installer file.
  5. Double-click the .dmg file.
  6. Drag the QuickBooks icon to the Applications folder to install.
  7. Once done. Verify the update and check the release number, then open QuickBooks and press Cmd+1.
