Annoying Notes

How do I get rid of the following annoying notice:

Your reports may not display correctly if you're using an outdated version of Google Chrome
If you get the "Aw, Snap" error while running reports, make sure your browser is up-to-date. Select the three dots in the top right corner of the browser, then select Help. Select About Google Chrome. If you're using v124.0.6367.91, or earlier, update it.

I am updated on Chrome, not sure why this keeps coming up

Thanks for reaching out, @TaylorHeating.

How are you today? I hope all is well.

It sounds like your browser could use refreshing. With that said, let's try some basic troubleshooting steps, such as clearing the cache from your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like the one with your messages. I'm including the links to all supported browsers that contain the steps to clear the cache below.

After clearing the cache, please make sure to restart the browser so the changes can take effect.

That should do the trick. Let me know if you continue to have issues. Take care!

Annoying Notes

I appreciate the steps you've taken to rectify the error message you received when running reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to ensure you'll get past this, @TaylorHeating.

Currently, the only way to remove the prompt "Your reports may not display correctly if you're using an outdated version of Google Chrome" is to click the "X" icon in the upper right corner of the message.

Since your Chrome browser is already at its latest release, you can disregard the prompt if it shows again.

I also recommend contacting our Support Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment and provide alternatives in removing this prompt message. Here's how to access support:

1. In your QBO account, go to Help (?).

2. Select either of these tabs:

  • Assistant tab and type Talk to a human.
  • Search tab and click on Contact us to connect with a support expert.

3. Start a chat with a QuickBooks support expert online.

Additionally, these resources can help improve your QBO experience:

If you have additional questions about the prompt message or any specific tasks in QBO, don't hesitate to comment below. I'll always be around to answer them at any time possible.
