I had an employee set up Quickbooks at home and by using my templates, including my credit card  authorization form, diverted funds to his own bank account.  Since he ran his own Quickbooks sore from mine, how can I get copies of his Quickbooks to see all the transactions?

Good morning, Bengamin.

I really hate to hear what happened with your employee. That's just not right. I'm here to lend a hand with the transactions in QuickBooks.

You may consider the audit log as a resource to look at the actions that have taken place. You would need access to the employee's QuickBooks account to view what happened on his side. However, it may be worth checking the audit log in your own QuickBooks to see what exactly went down there. Here's how to access the log if you're using the Online version:

1. Click the Gear icon and select Audit log.
2. Select Filter.
3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate User, Date, or Events filter to narrow the results.
4. Choose Apply.

The following article provides additional info about using the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

You can also run an Audit Trail report if you're using QuickBooks Desktop:

1. Go to Reports, then Account and Taxes, and choose Audit Trail
2. On the report screen, click Customize Report
3. Go to the Filter tab, select the following, and click OK
  - Date
  - Name and choose the person you want to generate an audit trail.
  - Account
4 . Enter the Date Entered/Last Modified.

5 . On your report screen, click refresh to update the Audit Trail.

This article offers more info about customizing reports like the Audit Trail in QuickBooks Desktop.

Lastly, if you need to take a deeper dive, I recommend reaching out to a member of the QuickBooks Support Team. Agents have specialized tools to take a more in depth look at your account details. These links provide the steps to get in touch with the correct team based on which platform you're using:
