I am looking to sync Quickbooks Desktop Pro with Gusto. When I click to sync is GUSTO, I say my account fields need to be mapped. It states download your chart of accounts? Then it states to create and IIF file and then you can automatically sync and update the journal entries. Not working at all for me....Gusto says ask QB and QB says ask Gusto?
Thanks for checking in with us, Korby.
When it comes to integrating GUSTO, the information we receive depends on what they share with us. In this case, we can try connecting to QuickBooks Desktop from Gusto. Let me show you how:
The option to export a Gusto IIF file into your QuickBooks account will be available the next time you run payroll. Then, the total wages, taxes, benefit deductions/contributions, reimbursements, and contractor payments will now export to your Desktop account each time you run payroll. If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting Gusto Technical Support Team to help you with this one.

Thank you....
I am getting stuck at this step:
It says it is redirecting me, but it never does. I have attached a screen shot of the error.
Here is the error attached
Thanks for updating us on how the integration process goes, Korby. It's my priority to ensure this gets taken care of.
Since you're stuck when clicking the QuickBooks Desktop tile, I'd suggest reaching out to our Gusto Support Team. They'll be able to check its cause and help you successfully integrate your account with QuickBooks.
Once your Gusto account is integrated with QuickBooks, I'd recommend running and customizing payroll reports in the program. This helps you manage payroll and keep track of employee expenses.
Also, it seems like your screenshot wasn't successfully attached. You can add it by clicking the Choose File button. Please make sure to share the image with the Gusto Support Team for visual reference.
I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with your other QuickBooks tasks, Korby. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
Hello Korby,
Thank you for providing the error message. I encourage you to share it with the Gusto's team to help assist. Again, let me know if you need help with anything else. I will be around. Take care!
Now when I go to File-utilities-export-chart of accounts and pick to save....QB just freezes and does not do anything. Now I am stuck on this ......UGH.....
I need to get my journal entries made manually before next payroll......
What is the best way to make that happen?
It is two years later and I am on the subscription qb desktop pro 2023. QB does NOT allow QB desktop to map with Gusto. As you said, QB says it's gusto, gusto says it's qb. If it were qb online, guess what? It would integrate flawlessly ...
Has anybody figured out a work-around?
Have you tried the 3rd party connector as mentioned earlier?
