You can update an existing estimate number in QuickBooks Online (QBO) by customizing the estimate number field and adding a revision number, office322.
To ensure you can make these changes, you’ll need to enable the Custom transaction numbers feature.

Once you’ve enabled custom transaction numbers, you can edit the estimate number field to include your revision number by following these steps:
Moving forward, QBO will automatically continue the numbering sequence based on your last entry. For example, if you update an estimate to E1001-Rev1, the next estimate you create will also be numbered E1001-Rev2.
