"Information Changed" message.
This change will reflect in your current transaction. Do you want to make it permanent i.e. to reflect in all your past and future transactions?
I cannot believe that making this change affect all PAST transactions????
Hi there, KRP7168.
I recognize that every business has different needs and preferences. Let me help and guide you on how to disable the Information Changed window.
We’ll have to configure the settings in your QuickBooks to accomplish this task. Here’s how:
I want to ensure that you can easily navigate and perform each accounting process in QuickBooks. Here’s a link to our self-help articles: QuickBooks Desktop guide. This resource contains topics such as account management, banking, taxes, payroll, managing customers or vendors’ transactions, etc.
Reach out to me again if you have additional questions to configure the Preferences settings in QuickBooks. I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Have a good one.
That solution does not work. However, I did find a fix:
Go to EDIT
Go to GENERAL (COMPANY PREFERENCES)
Check off "Never update name information when saving transactions"
This will ensure that changes made to a customer or vendor profile data field will not change past or future data.
