I need to make a large journal entry in multiple company files (large entries - multiple lines). THe entry is the same in each (intercompany), just need to reverse the DR and CR. Is there a way I can make the entry on an excel spreadsheet and upload it to the files, as opposed to manually entring it multiple times?

In QuickBooks Desktop, you can only import Accounts, Items, Customers, and Vendor Lists using the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV toolkit.
You can use the Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) files to import your sales invoices, payment journals, and general ledger journals. These data make it easier to transfer data to and from different platforms.
Please note Intuit does not provide technical support for creating or importing IIF files. If the files came from a different app, you need to ask them for help.
