This issue has to do with the Quickbooks SERVER for Mac.
I can load Server once, but if I need to quit and reload, it automatically crashes. I have to go into the Library folder, remove the server plist file, reboot and then it will run. I have to reset the backup folder and re"share" all my company files.
This is NOT just my mac. I just got a brand new mac and it's doing the same thing. I have chatted twice with QB tech support. The second time they said they needed to research it and get back to me. I got an email a week later asking me to rank the solution. There was no solution, it's still broken.
So just an FYI, if you use QB server with your mac, upgrading to Sonoma will break it and it doesn't look like they intend to fix it.
Which QB Desktop year version do you have?

As my post stated, this is Quickbooks SERVER, not the main Quickbooks program itself.
Please send a message via QuickBooks->Feedback menu saying that the server is crashing. I'll alert the team.
Hi @AVIDPgh. Thank you for alerting us to your issue. @IntuitBrooks informed the development team and we've diagnosed that a QBServer crash occurs on Sonoma when closing the application with 3+ files shared or opening the QBServer with 5+ files shared. We are working on a fix. As @IntuitBrooks suggested, please reach out to us via feedback and provide an email so we can contact you directly.
Thank you!
Ben
We have actually reproduced the issue on Ventura OS as well, so it is not isolated to Sonoma.

It's good to know you are working on it! I'll do feedback as well. Thank you.
Any updates on a fix for this?
I have been experiencing this problem of the Mac Server crashing when closing the application with QB 2022 in MacOs Monterrey. It was happening so now and then, thus not every time.
Yesterday I upgraded to QB 2024 (ver. 23.0.2.524 R3.1) and to MacOs Sonoma 14.2.1. Now it is happening every single time when closing the server. The MacOs shoots an error report.
Hope a solution can be found soon.
