Printing classes on voucher checks

I use QB Desktop Enterprise 23.  In older versions, class names would print on voucher checks.  I print checks with VersaCheck.  I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find a way to add class to the voucher section.  I only get Account, Memo, and Amount.  Has anyone been able to do this?

AI tells me this:

In QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 23:

  • Voucher stubs will NOT print Class, regardless of printer, driver, or stock

  • This is not VersaCheck-specific

  • This is not fixable with templates or preferences

So any solution that relies on “voucher stub = class column” is dead in QB 23.

That can't be accurate.

Printing classes on voucher checks

Hi there, @fuzzie.

Currently, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 23 does not support the ability to print class names directly on voucher checks. While this feature isn’t available within the software, you can explore third-party applications that allow customization of voucher checks, including the option to print class names. Also, ensure the app is compatible with QuickBooks Desktop and works with your version.

Here’s how to integrate a third-party app:

  1. Go to the Company menu.
  2. Select App Center.
  3. Search for apps compatible with your QuickBooks Desktop version.
  4. Click Get App Now and follow the installation prompts.
  5. Authorize the app to access your QuickBooks data when prompted.
  6. Complete the setup based on the app’s instructions.

Thank you.  Can you make a couple of recommendations?  When I search "print class on voucher check" I get 233 results.

Thank you!  Can you make a coupe of recommendations to try?  My search came up with 233 results.  That's a little too many to sort through.  I wish QBs would just add it back.

While we can't make recommendations on 3rd party apps, I can help show you how to filter and sort through them, @fuzzie.

  1. In the top right corner of the apps screen, type in your key words. Such as print class on voucher checks as an example.
  2. On the left side of the screen, you can apply any of these filters:
  3. Once your filters have been applied, click on the sort button at the top of the screen and choose the best sort option that fits your needs.

That should do the trick to help narrow down the options.

I also wanted to let you know that I've passed this feedback along to our Product Development Team to add back the option to print class on voucher checks.

If there is anything else I can assist you with, please don't hesitate to let me know. Take care!

I tried two: MultiCHAX and VersaCheck.  Neither could print the class.  It appears QB isn't sending the class data to the print driver.  Hopefully, the developers will put that back in.

I started this thread because I couldn't find any answers.  It appears it is a known issue:
