Pro Advisor lead is a scam

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been getting messages from leads from my pro advisor page for Quickbooks and the frequency seems to be getting more... At 12/2024... They’re saying they need Provisor training help for new employees and are inquiring about my rates and when I usually respond with questions they never answer...

Pro Advisor lead is a scam

I appreciate you taking the time to inform us about the messages you're receiving from leads on your ProAdvisor page @don052.  I'm here to assist and ensure your security while using QuickBooks.

I've got a few steps to help you spot the difference between potential scam and legitimate emails. Here are a few steps you might consider:

  • Verify the domain if the messages are from Intuit. Emails from us will always originate from an address ending in @intuit.com, including @e.intuit.com.
  • If the email domain is not from Intuit, you can go to this article to report the unsure messages: Report a suspicious email.

I also suggest avoiding clicking or opening any links in emails unless you're certain they are safe.

You can also visit this article to spot or identify a potential scam: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.

The Community is just a circle away if you have additional queries or require further assistance with any security-related topic in QuickBooks.

Pro Advisor lead is a scam

the lead comes directly from my Proadvisor page on Quickbooks.intuit.com site...

and I can see this as a lead on the proadvisor site...

Does QB vet these out at all or are we at the mercy of anybody that wants to abuse this system... I

Don't get me wrong I have gotten some good leads off this Proadvisor page but the last 4 leads I think have been scams...

Pro Advisor lead is a scam

a month later...

I got another message from same lady, and this time I responded from the ProAdvisor page and it keeps a history of my response. I thought when I hit the reply button on the email the proadvisor page sends me It would go through this system too...

So, now I now that responding in a email hitting the QB /intuit "Reply" button does not keep history on my Proadvisor page... In future I will just go out and login and go through the painful process of responding that way...

So, I am certain these are some kind of scam and they are trying to get to my information some how through the Proadvisor page...
