Purchase Order settings

When two users are creating Purchase Orders at the same time they are being overwritten, is there a flag or setting to prevent this? (it was happening when creating Estimate on the Sales side but we have now changed the flag so that the Estimate number is given at the end, rather than the beginning and presume this is a similar problem?

Both purchase orders should be saved.  What specifically is the issue you're seeing?

Purchase Order settings

Hi there, @emma007. You've raised your purchase order concern to the right forum. I'm here to provide clarifications about the function of creating this transaction between users at the same time.

Generally, QuickBooks Desktop (QDBT) supports numerous access at the same time if you set up your account in a multi-user mode, but not the entire software's data file.

Moreover, our system allows two users to create a PO. However, if they're working with the same transaction and vendor or customer, they'll be prompted by a message stating "Another user may have saved a document with the number xxx35. Your document was saved as number xxx43." The transaction is retained with a different transaction #.

Currently, there are no specific settings or flags to modify this.

Additionally, I'll hand you over this article to learn more about the access depending on the mode you're utilizing: Features available and tasks you can perform in single or multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop.

You might as well want to increase productivity in managing your financial information. Consider visiting this article: Use QuickBooks on multiple screens or in Multi-Monitor mode.

Feel free to return here, @emma007. If you have further inquiries about creating and streamlining purchase order transactions. I'm here willing to extend a hand. Take care always!
