My operating system was corrupted and I had to have it uninstalled and reinstalled, losing all software. I reinstalled QB Pro 2019 by download. Now, when I run QB, the font size on all screens is microscopic, making it nearly unusable. How can I enlarge them? Thanks for any help!
I'd like to offer my help and get your and make your software usable again, Old Retired Jim non IT Guy.
At the moment, there's no tool or button to adjust the overall font style in QuickBooks Desktop. However, there are external troubleshooting steps in your computer that can increase or decrease the font size in the program.
Let me share these steps with you:
Once done, close the folder and reopen your company file in QuickBooks. Then, check if the font sizes are now back to normal.
Let me also share these articles for additional information and guidance as well:

Good morning...sorry for the late response. I was able to complete Steps 1-4 of your suggestion, but at Step 5 I couldn't see QBW.INI. I only saw qbw. However, clicking on that led me to the exact file that your screen shot displayed (with items beginning with [Install_New]. Once there, I saw no line item for [FONTS], so I inserted a line between the = sign at the top of the list and the line item [INPRODREGISTRATION], and typed [FONTS] myself. Then below that I entered the font name and font size as you suggested. Sadly I could not get the microscopic print in QB to change. I would appreciate any guidance...and I will respond quickly this time! Thank you so much....
I appreciate you getting back in to this thread, Jim. I've come to ensure you'll get the assistance you need.
Beforehand, can you share a screenshot of what's happening on your end when editing the QBW file you've entered? It would help me check and clarify the items you've typed in.
To increase the font size in QuickBooks, please make sure you've followed the exact format shown on the screenshot shared by my colleague, jenop2, above. You'll need to enter the FontName=Arial line item below the [FONTS] line. Then, press enter and type FontSize=12.5.
Here's how:

Hi FateCandylane,
I have attached a screenshot of the file listing where I entered the information as suggested. And as I explained, the instructions said "Below the [FONTS]. The term [FONTS] did not appear in the file listing so I entered it myself before adding the FontName and FontSize line items. On that file listing, under Edit, there is also the ability to change the font name and font size, which I did , so that it matches what I entered in the file data. Sorry to be such a bother...but this is maddening. Thank you so much for your help!
Hey there, @Old Retired Jim non IT Guy.
I appreciate you coming back with additional information on microscopic fonts.
If none of the steps worked that my colleague provided, let's double-check another detail within your QuickBooks Desktop account.
What is your screen resolution setting set to? We recommend 1920 x 1080 for the best display.
I hope to hear from you again soon!
Hi Candace,
Thank you for your assistance. And yes...my Windows 11 screen resolution is set at 1920 x 1080. So far I have not been able to increase the size of the fonts in QB. It seems like the only thing left to try is to uninstall the QB application and reinstall it by downloading. I sort of dread doing that again but it may be my only option. As it is, the software is nearly unusable. Thank you again so much for your help!
Jim
