Buy nowI simply cannot afford the $1300.00 to renew my subscription. I have my QB program on CD. I understand that bank feeds wont work and some other stuff. But I will still be able to use my company file within the QB program that i paid for and have on CD correct?
No. You should consider switching to an old QB Desktop with a non subscription license. Otherwise, renew your license though a reseller and you can get $200 cashback
I understand how the renewal cost can be a concern, especially when managing business expenses effectively, @the_tile_setters. I'm here to help you understand what to expect with your QuickBooks Desktop software once the subscription expires.
When your subscription ends, you will have read-only access for one year. During this time, you can view reports but won't be able to edit your file or create any transactions. With this, we recommend exporting your data before this happens.
If you decide to upgrade your subscription, I recommend referring to this detailed article for guidance. This resource provides a step-by-step process, ensuring you can upgrade the software seamlessly.
Keep me posted by leaving a reply to this thread if you have more questions or concerns about managing your subscription. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Stay safe and take care.
But I bought QB Desktop outright in the box. There was no mention of subscription renewal or even that I had to have a subscriotion to run QB. And now they are going to make MY software unworkable? The QB I bought is QB Desktop Premier 2019. I don't need customer support from Q B or even the so-called "Help" menu for that matter. QB Help articles are about as unhelpfull as you can get. When I need help I ask the community. So if I go back to my 2019 software are they able to make it unworkable?
Are you sure you have QB Desktop 2019, not 2021? Intuit introduced the first subscription license for Pro/Premier 2021.
If you have a 2019 version, it will still work. There's no need to upgrade if you don't use bank feeds or payroll.
QuickBooks Desktop became a subscription for the 2022 versions. My 2021 Pro version is non-subscription.
They released QBD 2021 in 2 versions at the time (one-time license and subscription). The subscription price was almost a third and they got caught unaware that Intuit no longer offers one-time licenses since QBD 2022.
Thanks for the clarification.
I started with 2019 that i bought from staples on CD then QB upgraded it to whatever version that i paid Approx $700 for and that was 2021 or 2022 then paid another yearly price for 700 or thereabouts, but i cant afford the latest one at $1300. cant i go back to my 2019 version i have on cd?
I use bank feeds but not payroll. I dont have to use bank feeds. Ill just download my statement from myy bank and thats that.
my subscription ended 2 days ago. how do i export my data so i can use it with my 2019 QB?
I don't think anyone can downgrade to QBD 2019. If you can find an old QBD 2021, you might have a chance. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and you might get lucky.
Now that you’ve converted your company file to 2021, it can’t be opened in 2019.
So my company file and all its information that belongs to me , They have control over.. They have the power to close my books period. There's a legal issue in there. They have to have it where i can get my data to work with my 2019 version. Because right now they are gauging. And gauging is against the law.
