Buy nowWe are running QB Premier desktop for our small business--just one user. We recently got a new laptop because QB was taking forever to load up and get started--I guess because the files are so big and/or our laptop was too slow. Our question now is how to keep QB running at peak performance on this laptop? Do we need to sign off of the company and the QB program altogether after each use? Or just daily? (we are in there about twice a day) Do we need to close it when we put the computer to sleep and/or shut it down? And any other tips for keeping it manageable would be welcome. Thank you.

Hi there, kingmoose.
I appreciate you for coming back to the thread to ask for some clarification on how to run QuickBooks Desktop smoothly. With this, I'll ensure you can handle your program without issues.
The best way to make the QuickBooks program run accurately is to sign it out every time you won't use it. Beforehand, you'll have to secure a backup copy of your company file. Then, go to the File menu and choose Sign out.
Additionally, you'll also need to make sure the laptop meets the minimum system requirements for the QBDT. This is to ensure you have the best experience when using QuickBooks. Please know that the suggested requirements will depend on what year version you're utilizing.
