QBO Outages

At least 2 - 3 times a week, I am either unable to get onto QBO or, when signed on, am not able to get to all functions.  Why do these slow downs / outages happen so frequently?  We pay for this service and I am often unable to work because I can't get into my books.  This is extremely frustrating.  What can be done to improve the reliability of this program.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's interesting that you are experiencing this. I was able to access our QuickBooks Status Page, and I haven't seen any incident reports for the past few days regarding QuickBooks Online. However, I will for you to verify a few things for me so we can narrow this down. 

 

  • Are you using Google Chrome? If you are already using Chrome, ensure you are using the latest release by going to the Chrome menu and selecting Help, then About Google Chrome.
  • Ensure your operating system is up to date and you meet or exceed the System Requirements for QuickBooks Online.
  • Verify your internet speed (bandwidth) is not limiting your QuickBooks Online experience. Run a Google Speed Test to confirm your bandwidth/the speed of your connection.

 

Could you let me know if there were any improvements or if the situation persisted? I will be looking out for your comment. See you in a few.

QBO Outages

I use both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge as browsers, both of which are up to date.  My speed test shows very fast speed, both for uploads and downloads.  But this problem continues to happen, particularly when I try to get on in the middle of the day.  Does the system slow down when there are more people using QBO?  This is extremely frustrating!

At this time, we have not received any reports from QuickBooks regarding a system outage or general slowness with accounts. The slowdown you're experiencing could be tied to your web browser settings or possibly your computer system itself. I recommend reaching out to an IT professional or your internal IT team to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

 

Also, please note that QuickBooks is a web-based platform and is designed to run efficiently, even if multiple users are accessing it at once.
