We can run the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix common data issues encountered with your files, DJmatrix9113.
By doing this, it can help repair corrupted or damaged company files. Once you're ready, here's how:
Once done, run the Quick Fix my Program from the Tool Hub to shut down any open background processes QuickBooks uses. It'll run a quick repair on your program.
If the issue persists, various factors can contribute to the slow performance of your QuickBooks Desktop when opening files. It includes network configuration, server and workstation specifications, QuickBooks optimization, and other technical aspects.
To address this, we recommend consulting an IT specialist who can help you identify any potential issues affecting file access speed. They can perform a thorough assessment of your network and systems, and provide recommendations to ensure both your servers and workstations are optimized for optimal performance.
Feel free to reply again in this thread for more questions about managing your files. We're here to help in any way we can, DJmatrix9113.
Hi, thanks for the fast response,
I'm sad to letting you know you answer its not helpful at all. I'm that IT you are talking about, my network reach stable speeds around 1Gb/s copying files between to a RAM disk, (stations SSD work up to 450 Mb/s)
QuickBooks should be loading the Company book from the server to the station RAM, taking no more than 20 sec.
At this point i have a couple of points:
- QuickBooks server its using an old SQL and is not optimized at all
- Programmers don't want to specified exactly how its loaded on from the network (Server to RAM or server to SSD and the decompress to ram)
I don't want to think bad about the online product being pushed every day
According to the Internet, everyone its having the same issue ang giving up.
Please, be more specific on the specs requirement, not every user its jut an accouter sitting on a laptop
The whole community will appreciated if the actual technical requirement its being disclosed
Thanks
