Is there a way to use a Star TSP100 POS receipt printer in QuickBooks Advanced Online to print invoices for customers? We were using QuickBooks POS and have now moved to QuickBooks Online Advanced to do our retail and back-office processing. I have attempted to print, and the results are compressed and unreadable. Thanks in advance for any assistance or solutions.
Let me help you print the invoices on the printer that you are in QuickBooks Online (QBO), MossB.
Any printer can be used in printing invoices with QBO as long as it's compatible with your computer. However, there are receipt printers that are only designed for QuickBooks Point of Sale. Also, we're unable to modify the print settings in the system for the Star TSP100 receipt printer since it is only compatible with QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
With that said, I'd suggest contacting the POS receipt printer service provider on how to rectify this since we don't have any info from them. They may have settings that allow QBO to print receipts directly and ensure proper receipt alignments.
If they can't modify the print settings like installing the Star TSP100 printer driver in QBO, you may consider checking for a third-party application that can help you with this one. Check out this link for a list of QuickBooks-compatible apps: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:
Any questions about integrating the app into your Online account should be directed to the app's third-party provider. Also, to assist you in managing your account and growing your business with QBO, I recommend visiting one of our support websites: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few.

You can use a 3rd party inventory management app to integrate with QBO and use http://printhand.com to integrate with your POS printer. The printing quality is defined in Printer resolution and is 150 dpi by default. Also, you can set Paper size to 2 inch or letter.
