Does the processor requirement refer to base or boost speed, ie will it work on a computer that has a base speed of 2.1 and a boost speed of 3.7?

Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. 

 

The minim requirement is an intel duo or higher. Intel Core 2 is the processor family encompassing a range of Intel's consumer 64-bit x86-64 single-, dual-, and quad-core microprocessors based on the Core micro-architecture. It's not much of the speed, just the type of processor that you're using/have.

It also works on the AMD processors.  With the event of multiple cores, there is a range of speeds that a PC operates - from the low base clock/speed to the high boost speed which makes use of the number of cores to operate faster.  I had already read the article which lists the processor minimum requirement as being 2.4 Ghz, but it doesn't say if that is the base speed or the boosted speed.
