Is there absolutely ANY WAY possible to increase the text or font size in QuickBooks Pro Desktop.  It is driving me ABSOLUTELY INSANE trying to read the different screens.  I even went as far as to get an eye appointment and new, stronger glasses.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, HELP!!

No, there's really nothing within QuickBooks to change the font sizes. It kind-of follows your display settings.

There are several things you can do:

- Reduce your monitor's resolution, so everything looks bigger.

- Get a bigger monitor. They're dirt cheap these days.

- Try one of Windows 'accessibility' (?) display options that may make text easier to read.

Thanks for the reply.  I have tried all of what you recommended except looking for a larger screen.  Problem is that I work off of a new Dell Laptop and it only came with ONE USB port. I though very strange, but it apparently is how most laptops are built these days.

Thanks for reaching back, @Yok33. I appreciate you for trying the suggestions shared above. Allow me to convey some additional information about your concern.

Changing the font size in QuickBooks Desktop applies only to the reports and not the entire display of the program. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then choose a specific report.
  2. Click on Customize Report, then select Fonts & Numbers.
  3. Click the Change Font button and adjust the font size from there.

  4. Once done, click OK.

I'm adding this article to learn what to do if you see the font, sizing, or other display issues.: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know in the comment below if you have additional questions about changing the font size in QBDT. I'd be glad to help. Stay safe always.

RE: Problem is that I work off of a new Dell Laptop and it only came with ONE USB port.

It looks like Dell monitors have other ways to connect.

This one seems typical:

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-24-monitor-p2422h/apd/210-bbcc/monitors-monitor-accessories#tec...

And has these options:

  • DisplayPort
  • VGA
  • HDMI
  • USB 3.2 Gen 1 upstream
  • 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 downstream

A quick review of a couple of new Dell laptops on their site suggests that the new laptops come with Displayports.  So, that might work for you.
