Please know that older versions are no longer supported, which means critical security patches and updates are no longer available.
These steps are applicable only if you are using QuickBooks in single-user mode and your version is either 2022 or 2023. However, if you use QuickBooks in a multi-user environment, upgrade to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop directly from within the program.
When you open your QuickBooks Desktop account, click the Upgrade QuickBooks button on the software homepage.
Here's how:
- Select the option to Upgrade QuickBooks.
- Click on Find out what’s new in the new version.
- Review the system requirements to ensure that your computer is compatible with the new upgrade.
- You have 2 upgrade options. Choose the one that best suits your needs and follow the instructions to complete the upgrade successfully.
- If you want to keep the old version of QuickBooks on your computer, select Keep the old version of QuickBooks on my computer.
