I need to make some Classes inactive and I'm getting this message, which means nothing to me.

This class can't be deleted because it is used in a recurring template or scheduled liability payment.

I haven’t created any recurring templates or scheduled any liability payments. I need to know how to override this message and make the classes inactive.

To check if there are any existing recurring templates or scheduled liability payments, let's review the transactions and delete them (if applicable). This way, you can proceed in deactivating the Classes.

Here's how you can deactivate the recurring transactions:

Go to the Gear icon.
Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
Select the drop-down from the Action column.
Click on Delete.
Click on the Yes button.

Once done, you can already delete or make classes inactive.

Thank you Mich_S! This solution worked perfectly. I just wish QBO didn't require people to waste time having to figure these things out. They never happened with QBD.
