Credit Memo problem

Credit Memos

Has anyone else been having problems with Credit Memos—specifically that the columns are now fixed in size rather than scalable? I use credit memos on a monthly basis for our publishing company to allocate expenses such as distribution fees and freight to individual titles. The issue is that the recent change, which does not let me enlarge any columns, means that I can no longer read the book titles listed in the class column. If I scale my Chrome screen to 50%, more text is visible, but because it is rendered in approximately 3 pt type, it is illegible. I spent 3 hours on chat and phone with Intuit support and was give the following information from Tier 2:  1. “Cant remove columns” (in order for the class column to occupy a larger fixed space) because this form is not available in custom forms (it never was, unfortunately) 2. There is “No work around” 3. There is “Nothing we can do” and 4. There is no other option unless they receive “enough feedback from enough customers”

So—has anyone else encountered this problem? If you have, please send your feedback to Intuit.

Credit Memo problem

We acknowledge that this problem can be exasperating for you and your business, @user1234567891011

The option to customize the size or remove the columns is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Therefore, the alternative is to reduce the screen display or adjust the header names to read the full title of the listed class columns.

Please see the example screenshot below:

Here's how:

Moreover, see this article to help personalize and add specific info to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

If you have any other questions regarding columns, please inform us. We will work together to resolve them. Take care.

Credit Memo problem

Hello MichaelaS,

It is quite possible that you did not read my long post. I have noticed that Intuit replies generally ignore information that is provided when there is a problem. In my post I very carefully explained that this "solution" would not work. The typeface is rendered in such a small size that it is illegible. This therefore is not a solution and the issue is not resolved. My communication is to attempt to give "Feedback" in the hopes that previously available utility will be restored to users of QBO, to elicit responses from other users who may have found a work around, and to advertise to the community that once available usefulness in QBO is now being stripped from the program by QBO engineers. Following is a screen shot of the screen at 75%. The column I need to read is "Class."

I was prompted via email to accept this solution. As this is not a solution, MichaelaS, I will not accept it as such.
