Question

Is anyone else have trouble with editing & saving invoice footer text? Intuit Customer Service told me to ask the community because they are useless. Any suggestions?

Whenever I try to update the footer text in my invoice, QB for Mac Desktop doesn't do bupkis. I can edit and save every other single aspect of my invoice template except for the footer. This has only been since the latest update - prior to that I had no troubles. I've contacted Intuit multiple times only to be told to pose the question to the community because they can't help (so why are they there?). My Mac and QB are up to date and on the latest OS versions. I've tried creating a brand new invoice template and it will save everything, but once I enter the "Add footer text" box it won't save anything and will only allow me to exit without saving. This problem wasn't a problem before the most recent QB update. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, do you have a work-around?

Welcome to the QuickBooks family, TJG.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. I'm here to help save the footer of your invoice template.

To help determine if the problem is template related, you'll need to create a new one. If you're able to successfully save the footer in the new template, it signifies that your existing template is corrupted and need to be recreated.

If you need further help with the template, I'd recommend you add more details about the issue by adding a comment below. I'll be sure to get back to you.

Fix this.  It isn't working for anyone.

I'm having trouble saving any changes to my main invoice template. I want to remove the date and change the width of my product description field, yet every time I do this and save it, it goes right back to the way it was. I've tried creating a new template too, and that doesn't work. This is obviously a glitch and I hope QBO fixes it!
