Invoices

The invoicing function for my QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account has been down for approximately one week.  Last week I contacted customer support and was informed that the QBSE invoicing function was subject to some sort of systemic error and that I would receive an email when the problem was resolved.  I have not received an email and the problem appears to be ongoing.  Any additional information or update on the issue would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I'm glad to hear that you're able to resolve the invoicing issue in QuickBooks Online, @websterpln. And thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps you took.

I'd like to provide additional details why you're unable to create an invoice using the Safari browser.

In general, QuickBooks is compatible with the three most recent browser releases. Older versions aren't always supported by us. For Safari browsers, we support version 12 or newer (Mac only).

Since Google Chrome is working but not Safari, I suggest clearing the Safari browser cache. This helps prevent any unusual browser behavior moving forward.

Here's a module you can review about handling sales forms in QBO: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I was able to resolve the QBSE invoicing issue (where the "create invoice" button led to a blank screen) by switching browsers from Safari to Google Chrome.  For whatever reason, QBSE allows me to create invoices when I run it on Google Chrome, but not on Safari.

I cannot view or create invoices in either Chrome or Safari for my QBSE. It's only a problem on my desktop. I can view and create invoices from my mobile device. Has this problem been solved for the desktop version?

Charlene, I saw no troubleshooting recommendations from your colleagues. Can you please share a link to those. The only solution I have seen is switching from Safari to Chrome. I use Chrome already so that solution won’t work. I tried it in Safari and that doesn’t work either. I’ve cleared my cookies and cache without any success. So unless you have a different magic bullet I’m going to be stuck with tech support.
