Hello,
Can anyone tell me how I can pull these charts out of the performance center?
They are great charts and we could use them , but not everyone can sign on and see these I need to print or PDF these to others?
Please let me know if anyone knows how to do this properly
Thank you
RM
Good day, RM.
The Performance Center feature is only visible to admin users using the QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription. While the option to export or print the chart through a PDF file is unavailable, you can take a screenshot of it. Then, copy and paste it to a Word file and then print it.
You can also use this article for more details on how to create custom charts to track your business performance and on what roles you can give access to your members or employees.
Always know that your feedback is a way of how we can improve our software more. Please don't hesitate to leave a reply or post again if you need more help. Take care!
I have Quickbooks online advanced but cant access the performance centre - can you help please
Hi there, @GG210.
I'd like to know if you have encountered an error when trying to access the Performance center. It will help me identify the issue and give you a specific resolution for this.
For now, we're going to perform the browser troubleshooting method to check if this is caused by the stored data. Over time this data will become obsolete and can cause this odd behavior to the program.
Let's begin by using an incognito browser and check if you can access the Performance center. Then, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache if you can get into QBO without any issues. If not, using another supported browser is an alternative way.
Here are the shortcut keys to access a private browser:
I've added this resource page for more information about the essence of the Performance center feature in QuickBooks: QuickBooks can do WHAT? Business Performance Dashboard. This will also help you on your future task with this feature.
You can always get back in the comment section below if you have other concerns or questions. I'd be glad to help you further. Have a beautiful day and take care.
Hello,
Sorry if this is redundant, but with the recent update accountant users have lost ability to export these reports? Secondly, is in right in saying that admin users in 'business view' ie clients will be able to access the performance center?
I have a tier of clients who have received these reports via pdf since the feature was released. I suppose a series of screen shots>power point> pdf might work. Print screen degrades the image a little bit and is somewhat kooky. Any app/ extension recommendations are welcome!
TIA,
Scott
Let me add additional information, @Backpack Books.
When you're in the Accountant view, you can still export your reports from the Reports menu to excel and PDF file. In case you're referring to the chart that you can see from the Performance Center, the feature to export it is unavailable.
You can check this article for more information: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
Yes, admin users who are in Business View can access the Performance center in your Reports menu. These charts help check your business performance.
The ability to generate a copy of these charts could be a great addition to the current features that we have. I'll be sure to take note of it. We will continue to add function and make improvements by listening to our customers' suggestions and comments. You can visit the QuickBooks Blog to check for new updates and features that we have.

I have an admin user that can't see the performance center. Is it possible that this is limited to the master admins?
I can help you access the Performance center, @HintonBurdick PLLC.
A primary or a company admin can access the performance center in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Please take note that this feature is exclusive to QuickBooks Online Advanced and QuickBooks Online Accountant subscribers only.
You can access this in the Reports menu. Check this screenshot:
Here's an article to know more about the Performance Center:

Hello,
I have been trying to figure out how to access the Business Performance dashboard in the article you referenced. The first person I spoke to in support had me follow the steps below that you listed....clearing my cache and trying an incognito browser, it still didn't work and they were unable to let me know why. The call ended there.
Today I called a second time hoping for a better answer and the person told me it hasn't been released and to keep checking back....I'm not confident in this answer as it seems like this has already been rolled out.
To be clear, I am trying to access Key Metrics in the Business Performance tab under the Overview option NOT the Performance Center option under Reports.
Is there someone that can help me? A different number to call to help me troubleshoot?
Let me share some information, Stephaniefabian.
The feature can only be accessed by admin users in QuickBooks Advanced.
I know you've called in before. However, I still suggest reaching out to us again. This way, a live agent can take a better look at this. Here's how:
If there's anything else that you need, don't hesitate to let us know. We'll be around to help you. Take care!
Thank you for the information. I reached out to support again and was told "maybe" it will be in the update that happens "someday". It's quite frustrating that so many of the support reps are not aware of this feature and I spend 30-40 minutes on the phone with them and still no fix. Any other options?
Thanks for getting back in here, @stephaniefabian. I'm here to clarify things for you.
The Business Performance option is only available through QuickBooks Online Accountant. This dashboard will help you keep your clients on track using a more visual and consolidated view.
When you log into a client’s company through QuickBooks Online Accountant, the Overview tab will appear at the top of the sidebar menu. Hover over the secondary menu and select Business performance.
If you're using QuickBooks Online Advanced, you will have the Performance center under the Reports on the left navigation bar.
For additional info, feel free to view this resource: Business Performance Dashboard.
I'll also be adding some related links that you can use in the future to help you get your way around the Reports feature in QBO:
Keep in touch if you need more help. I've always got your back to assist you. Have a nice day.
I do have QBO Advanced and am logged in as Accountant but still do not have the Business Performance Dashboard.
I do have the Performance Center though. Are you saying I would only have one or the other? And if I wanted the Business Performance Dashboard with the Key Metrics INSTEAD of the Performance Center what would I have to do? Does my Client need to have a QBOA plan in order for me to view the Business Performance Dashboard? When I go into my Client's accounts there is no secondary menu when I hover over the Overview tab.
Hello, stephaniefabian.
Allow me to join the thread. I can provide additional information about the Business Performance Dashboard.
You'll have access to Performance Center if you're logged in to QuickBooks Online Advanced. Then, you can sign in to your QBOA account to monitor your client's books using the Business Performance Dashboard. If you don't have the account yet, I'll show you how to create it.
1. Go to our Accountant's website.
2. Click the Sign up link.
3. Follow the steps to create a new firm.
Here's how to create if you have an existing user ID:
1. Go to our Accountant's website.
2. Sign in with your user ID and password.
3. Select Create firm.
4. Follow the onscreen steps.
Here's how from a client's invite email:
1. Ask your client to invite you to be their accountant.
2. Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
3. Follow the steps to create an account.
Review this guide for more info: Create charts to see your business performance.
Reply to this post if you have further questions about Business Performance Dashboard. I'll be around to help you.
It would be more than helpful if you could allow access to the performance center to the owners and standard users and not only to the administrator. It has caused us several problems - a share holder can see that they do not have access and feel like this information is being kept from them. They do not need to be able to delete users and passwords or transfer money they just need to be able to view the graphs in the performance center. If you can't allow access it should not show access denied that is just setting us up for a law suit. PLEASE FIX THIS
I heard your sentiments about having the right to access the performance center in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @crazy2020.
You’re correct that owners or any shareholder set as standard users should have the right and access to this section to get better insights for the business. That option is possible knowing the subscription you have in QuickBooks.
That said, we can ask your company administrator to permit you of accessing the performance center. Regardless if you are a standard user of the application, you can ask the admin to customize your role and include access to this feature.
You can ask your company admin to edit your role in the company by following the steps below:
You’ll want to check out this article for more information about the functionality: Add and manage custom roles in QuickBooks Online Advanced.
I’m always here to help whenever you need assistance. Have a good one!
Unless you change them to administrator you can not add performance center access to another role. They can look at general reports but not the ones they want to ACCESS DENIED!!
I have been dealing with the same situation. I begin to suspect that someone in a key position in the organization is an idiot.
Hi there, @WeststarAdmin2.
To access the Performance Center, you must be an admin user using the QuickBooks Online Advanced or Accountant version. Let me go further into details about this.
This feature contains important information essential for monitoring and managing your business data, which is why only admin users are allowed to access this. If you want other users to access this section, I recommend contacting your company administrator to assign them the appropriate roles.
Moreover, if you want to share this data to your team, you can export and print the document using QBO Advanced. To do so, here's how:
For reference, please check this article: Create charts to see your business performance.
Additionally, you can check out this article to learn about customizing your reports with other applications: Using QuickBooks Online Advanced reporting tools Fathom and Spreadsheet Sync.
If you have any further questions about accessing the Performance Center, don’t hesitate to reach out in the Community space. We’re here to help.
I am my company's administrator and I would love to grant permission to a user to be able to access the Performance Center, but I cannot find any such permission in the existing Roles or in any of the options for a custom role. I have not found it in any of the documentation nor have I been able to get anyone to tell me how to do this.
Keep in mind that this user only needs access to the things that are in the Performance Center (reports and graphs). The user currently has the "View company reports" role which gives access to Reports. This also includes a link on the page to the "Performance center". This lands the user on a page which contains only the graphs BUT there is no link to get back to the reports. It is an awkward one way trip. It looks to me like the developers had the right idea at one point and then it got broken.
Hello there, WeststarAdmin2.
I see you're looking for ways to grant your team access to the Performance Center through the custom role feature, as this is relevant to your business when managing finances effectively. However, this permission is currently restricted to users with admin rights. While the View company reports role provides access to the Performance Center, the link to revert to the reports page is unavailable.

Here's how:
You'll want to stay up-to-date with your product requests by visiting this website: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.
In the meantime, you can have your user use the browser's back button or change the URL link back to "https://qbo.intuit.com/app/reports" to revert to the report's page. You can see this image for reference:
On the other hand, if you want to keep track of the changes made within your file, you'll want to use the audit log. It also let's you to see who made particular changes and when they happened.
