I just installed QB Advance reporting.  Are there any reports that are based on the Class field?  Our expenses and revenue are separated by the class field.

There are existing reports filtered by a class you can utilize in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), Steve. Allow me to add more details regarding this matter.

QuickBooks Advanced Reporting allows you to construct customized reports. With this, you can utilize existing reports already filtered by class in QBDT. These are the Profit and Loss by Class and the Balance Sheet by Class report. However, you can customize and filter another report by class to ensure you have the data that meets your business needs.

Here's how to locate the appropriate data to use with the advanced reporting feature:

  1. Right-click on any report and select Properties to add new columns or data.
  2. Choose the Dimensions tab to group and subtotal your data or the Expressions tab to add a column.
  3. Once you see the options for Tables and Field, match the correct information you want to show in your report. You can select the Transactions table if you want to see transactions.

To learn more about the advanced reporting feature, refer to this material: QuickBooks Advanced Reporting (QBAR) FAQ.
