I used the Android app on my Note 8 to "Snap Receipt". I photoed 54 different receipts with the app from about 8:30pm PDT on 4/30 until 12:30am on 5/1/20. I had QBO open at the same time and saw them go into the "processing" area in the receipts tab. Only 8 receipts showed up under "For review". The other 46 receipts are gone/missing. There is no longer a "processing" area and there is only a total of 8 receipts in the "for review" tab. It's been 2 hours since I finished. I rebooted, tried different browsers, had another user try it on an a different login on another computer, used private/incognito windows, and cleared my cookies and cache. There is still only 8 receipts. They are not in "reviewed" either. What happened?
Let's keep your account updated by re-uploading your receipts, @info979. This time, I'd recommend doing it by batch to make sure every single receipt will be processed and recognized by the system.
There are times that QuickBooks is overwhelmed with the uploaded files. You'll have to make sure you are using supported PDFs and images with jpeg, jpg, gif, or png format.
To prevent it, you'll have to upload your receipts by batch. This way, you'll be able to successfully upload all your files in the For review tab. Here's how to upload receipts and bills from your mobile device.
After that, visit the Receipts tab's For review section to check the uploaded files. You need to repeat the same process until the last receipt.
Once done, you can now review, edit and match the receipts and bills to your transactions. For the detailed steps, kindly visit this article's Step 2: Review, edit, or match receipts and bills section: Capture and categorize receipts and bills. It also contains tips on what to do if you have sales tax turned on in your company file.
Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
That's the thing. I was going super slowly as I mentioned doing over a 4 hour period. And they were small batches. It was in the US evening 8:30 pacific time until past midnight. I used the Receipt Snap and never did a batch more than 5 or 10 receipts at a time every half hour or so. I doubt it was heavy usage at that time for the US version.
What now? just try again and keep my fingers crossed? I'm getting really tired of these bugs wasting my time. :(
OMG. I woke up this morning and the 8 that WERE there are now even gone. They are no longer in the "for review" and not in the "reviewed" tab either.
There's only one other person that is accessing the account. I'm speaking with him now and he did NOT review and clear them.
WTH?
QUICKBOOKS IS SO BUGGY!!!!! I'm talking on the phone with support now, so I'll end this thread. But here's the crazy thing. We put ONE receipt in, as a test, and it REVIVED THE ONE QBO DELETED. There was two there, one with an "added" date from yesterday!
Wow. This is so bad. Quickbooks wastes hours and hours and hours of my times with it's bugs. Why am i paying so much for a buggy product?!?
I am having the exact same issue none of the receipts show up at all now and I lost all the settings previously with all the receipts.
Hi there, CepheusSolutions.
I know how important for your business to have the Receipts feature up and running again. We’ll have to register your email address again so you can forward receipts and bills.
Here’s how:
Let me share this article for more insights into this process. It includes instructions on how to manage users and their addresses: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
You can read through this write-up about receipt forwarding. It provides detailed information on how to upload, and track expense receipts and bills you capture with your phone or send through email: Capture and categorize expense receipts and bills in QuickBooks Online.
If there’s anything else I can help you with, click the Reply button and post a comment. I’ll be glad to assist further. Have a good one.
We did all that all ready after losing hundreds of uploaded receipts. They were there and now they are all gone. So now when using the phone app all the receipts we have uploaded do not appear. The app has all the receipts we have uploaded in its history but none of the receipts appear in receipt management.
We have done all that already. Now we face the issue that any receipt we we upload using the Phone APP does not appear in the receipt manager. The App still has all the receipts in its history, including all the receipts we uploaded before the receipt manager account was erased the first time.
Thanks for providing us additional details, CepheusSolutions.
You can view old transactions by filtering the date range for the receipts to show on the mobile app.
Here's how to do it if your are using iPhone or iPad:
Once done, filter the dates to 2020 to see the transactions you're looking for.
If you're using an android phone, you can follow the steps below:
I've included this article for more information on how to handle receipts: Capture and categorize expense receipts and bills in QuickBooks Online.
If you've already did those troubleshooting steps and the issue still persists, I suggest contacting our support team to investigate further.
Let me know if you still have questions or clarifications about receipts. I'll keep an eye on your response. Have a nice weekend.
Totally agree. Used desktop version for years, had to run VMWare or Parallels on Mac to use windows since Intuit leaves out lots of features for the Mac version. Moved to online, they lost tons of my stuff. I've spent hours and hours and hours on support. Online version is pretty bad in allowing you to manage your own data, i.e. you cannot undo ANYTHING! Moving back to desktop so I can roll back to a previous image. I wish so bad there was better competition on the software and CPA support side. Seems like QB has a large share of the support community and CPA's, but yes, their User Interface sucks and it seems they do little user testing as I find their bugs online all the time.
