Cannot Save Duplicate Invoice Numbers Anymore

This is not a QuickBooks Desktop issue.  Desktop wouldn't do something so stupid.

So who would be responsible for this issue? It is very inconvenient for sure..

I also need to use the same invoice number multiple times in our business.  Has anyone found a way around this after the new update to invoicing on May 6, 2024?

2. Go to the Gear icon.
3. Choose Feedback.

Are you sure? It seems unlikely given how un-user-friendly QuickBooks Online is. And it's getting worse with almost every new update. Who in their right mind would prevent customers from assigning the document numbers to invoices as they please? There is literally no reason under the sun for such a restriction.

This isn't an "area for improvement".  It's a specific thing you broke by doing the complete opposite - by adding an unwanted, useless restriction where none is needed.

It's not a "feature". It's a normal thing you have purposefully written code to exclude. All you have to do is comment out the unwanted code and then it'll work properly. Like with QuickBooks Desktop, for example.
