Cannot Save Duplicate Invoice Numbers Anymore

Please put the option to revert back to the original format where I can save invoices with duplicate invoice numbers! The new designs are not an issue, it is the technicality that is an issue. I need to get my work done. I have a lot of clients who all uses the same invoice numbers !!! I need to save my invoices so I can get my work done. This is going to be a big issue and a hassle for my clients !!!
The quickbooks team are changing the format on this website, and did not even provide a guide on how we can easily save our invoices if "duplicate numbers" aren't allowed.... very unprofessional. Making our work harder with no guide on how we can easily save invoices. If you are keeping the new designs, PLEASE let us save duplicate invoice numbers AT LEAST.
There's NO WAY I can save only 1 invoice with the #17 and I have 50 other clients to bill....  Like, of course the number is already in use! I have 50 other clients that I bill that has used that same number already. As long as my company has clients, they will ALL go through using the same numbers, just under a different name.....
Please fix this, this was not a big issue that needed to be taken away.

The Product Managers at Intuit who work on QuickBooks Online are responsible for this and the other changes to the Invoice that significantly de-feature it. This is their idea of a good time.

This is not a QuickBooks Desktop issue.  Desktop wouldn't do something so stupid.

So who would be responsible for this issue? It is very inconvenient for sure..

RE: It's our goal to provide a user-friendly experience, JDJTOWING.

Are you sure? It seems unlikely given how un-user-friendly QuickBooks Online is. And it's getting worse with almost every new update. Who in their right mind would prevent customers from assigning the document numbers to invoices as they please? There is literally no reason under the sun for such a restriction.

RE: Rest assured that we value your perspective on this matter, as it enables us to identify areas for improvement.

This isn't an "area for improvement".  It's a specific thing you broke by doing the complete opposite - by adding an unwanted, useless restriction where none is needed.

RE: While this feature is still unavailable in the new invoice layout,

It's not a "feature". It's a normal thing you have purposefully written code to exclude. All you have to do is comment out the unwanted code and then it'll work properly. Like with QuickBooks Desktop, for example.

Do you really believe that? If so, I have a great investment opportunity for you. I bought this bridge, and just need a little more money from investors to build the toll booths. If you invest now, you'll be in on the ground floor.  If interested, call 8 6 7 - 5 3 0 9 and ask for Jenny.
