Hey there, Truruts-.

I can help with those category items. To edit or remove a category follow these steps.

  1. Go to Sales and select Products and Services.
  2. Select the More ▼ drop-down, then Manage categories.
  3. Select Edit from the Action column.
  4. Make the changes you want and select Save. Or select Remove and then OK.

This article also goes into more details on products and services categories. I'm here to help if you have any questions.

Hello,

The "More" menu under Products and Services doesn't seem to have "Manage Categories" any longer, just "Run Report" (screenshot). Please advise where this might have moved?

(FWIW, I'm the account owner and a full admin on the account)

Thanks @MirriamM for the expedient reply, but the browser doesn't seem to be the issue.

With Chrome, Chrome incognito, Firefox, and Safari I see the same result (grabs attached). I cleared cache on all three with the same result -- only "Run report" shows in my dropdown.

The dropdown does display correctly on the Test Company link you shared.

.

Thank you for the screenshot, Nefastis.

I'd like to share a few more steps in addition to what my colleagues have shared.

You can also go to all your lists to access the product categories section, and you can edit them from there.

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose All Lists.
  2. Choose Product Categories.
  3. You can edit the category names or click ▼ beside Edit to remove a category.

Another way is to click on this link while your QuickBooks is open: https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/categories

If non of the steps works for you, please contact our QBO Support to check this further.

Let me know if you need anything else. Have a good one!
