missing transactions

When running a P&L for 2023 several sales are missing.  When I pull up the transactions, several months are missing completely, like over half the year.  I have linked my account and updated a few times but it is not pulling this information.  any suggestions?

missing transactions

I can see the importance of tracking your business's financial performance, @RhiGreen555. Let's collaborate to ensure that your 2023 transactions are reflected in your Profit and Loss (P&L) report.

To begin with, please make sure to check whether the accounting basis for your P&L is set to Cash basis or Accrual basis. The accounting basis used in running the report determines how the date is considered for reporting the income or expense.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Reports.
  2. On the Favorites section select Profit and Loss.
  3. Choose how you want income and expenses to be reported in the Accounting method section.
  4. Select Run report.

If transactions are still missing after checking the method, it's important to consider what will show on the P&L report. Often, the expectation is that the report will reflect payments, but that isn't usually the case when the income or expense is recognized.

In addition, if you have recently linked your account, please note that the system downloads up to the last 90 days of transactions within the first 90 days. To download older transactions, you'll need to upload them manually into your account. With just a few clicks, you'll be all set.
