I am on a Mac and upgraded to Mac Plus 2024 Version V23.1.5 R6 Build 736. Have been using QB for 17 years for our small business. Did not want to move to QB Online (I do use that for a non-profit and prefer Desktop). My Reports are NOT loading and if they do, take forever. Spinning wheel. Yes I have Verified and Rebuilt the Data - several times! Anybody else having this issue and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks!
I appreciate you going through some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue, MASAEP.
Since the issue persists, let's clean install your QuickBooks Desktop to reinstall the program from a clean slate.
Before proceeding, have your download file or installation CD and license numbers ready. Then, uninstall QuickBooks Desktop. To do this, follow the steps below.
After that, it's time to remove QuickBooks PLIST files. This way, all preferences will revert to their default settings. Here's how to do this:
Once done, restart your device and reinstall QuickBooks. Feel free to use these articles as guides:
I'm just one post away if you have other concerns about QuickBooks Desktop. Let me through the comment section, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Are you running your file over a network, or in a Multi User environment? If so, try copying the file locally to your Desktop and opening it from there to see if it makes a difference in performance. Just trying to narrow down if the issue you are seeing is file related or network. If it happens locally opening it from the Desktop, the file size could be related or the system. At that point, trying in Safe Boot locally to see if that helps performance would narrow the issue even further.
Thanks AnneMariee - going to do the re-install tomorrow. I was thinking this was my best option before posting the question. Will let you know if it works!
Just my desktop - small mom & pop pizza restaurant. : )
