Report Customization - QBO Essentials

I work with several nonprofits using QBO Advanced.  We're considering a switch over to QBO Essentials for one of the smaller organizations with relatively simple accounting needs.  Does QBO Essentials handle simple report customizations such as adding the "Memo" field to the "Bill Payments List" standard report?

Here's how:

  1. From the left panel, select Business Overview.
  2. Go to the Reports section and then choose the Standard tab.
  3. Type "Bill" in the Search box, then select Bill Payment List.
  4. From the report icons, click mini Gear.
  5. Choose Show More.


     
  6. Check the Memo/Description box.


     
  7. Tap anywhere.

One additional question -

 

Am I correct that Quickbooks Essentials has the ability to export reports to Excel?


I got you, NKA3.

 

Yes, you can export reports to Excel using QuickBooks Online (QBO) Essentials and this feature is available to all versions of QBO.

 

I'll show you how to do it below:

 

  1. Go to Business overview and select Reports.
  2. Search for and select the report you want to export.
  3. At the top of the report, select the Export icon. Then select Export to Excel.
  4. Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.
