I run a lot of reports. I would like to set the RUN Date of ALL reports at THIS YEAR.
Currently it's at past 90 days. SO each time I change a report, I have to go change the date and this has caused a couple errors from my assistant thinking she was running THIS YEAR and only ran past 90 days....
I want the DEFAULT as THIS YEAR on ALL reports, I don't want to have to set EACH one as custom...as that's insane...wayyyyy too many reports....
just a default.... ???
Setting the default date for reports is not an option in QB
I feel your pain. This should be feature.
I too would like to be able to set the default date range to current fiscal year. Is this a feature that is being worked on for a future release?
Here at Intuit, your voice matters, helvigda.
I can see how the functionality in setting the report's date range as default to the current fiscal year would be beneficial to your business needs. With this, I'd recommend submitting a feature request directly to our product engineers from QuickBooks Online. They'll improve your experience with the program by adding or improving QuickBooks features.
You can also track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
In the meantime, I'd suggest customizing the date of your reports to the current fiscal year. Once done, you can memorize them to save the customized settings to easily access them in the future.
Additionally, I've added these articles that'll help you know more about managing your reports in QuickBooks Online:
Feel free to comment below if you have any other concerns or questions about running and customizing reports in QuickBooks. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Have a good one.

It must not matter very much, it's now 2023 and one still can't set a default date; and the report 'bot won't/doesn't remember the last date used, even. Not to mention it destroys the previous search for accounts in the COA when go back so have to do that all over again, too. Dumb!!!!
On top of that, the "NEW" view doesn't even have the "All Dates" selection in the dropdown menu list at all; you have to revert to the Classic view to get it or manually enter custom dates (also a very painful process the way the interface is designed that switches focus away automagically instead of letting user finish the second date before building a report -- double-dumb!). AND, if you set the "CLASSIC" view, it won't hold that setting, either; you have to keep resetting it every time as well. Triple dumb!!!
Add the problem all the wasted terminal real estate taken up with nothing but space, it's annoying beyond belief...
