Question

Why is it so difficult to open a support ticket with Quickbooks online? I don't want to post to "the community" to ask for someone to correct a billing issue.

I just want to open a support ticket but the Quickbooks website wants to force me into reading articles that aren't relevant or force me to post to "the community" instead of allowing me to open a support ticket to have someone fix the billing issue.

I'm experiencing the same frustration. I think I was double billed for Payroll because I was charged $500 for the annual fee on the payroll and then the renewal subscription for my Quickbooks desktop was a lot more than usual. We have a small company with no employees right now but may hire again in the future. It's hard to justify paying $1,300 for an annual subscription. Is there a number I can call and talk to someone or an email I can use?

When subscribing to QuickBooks Desktop, there are certain charges you may encounter about your subscription. That said, I suggest visiting the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs) to check where it’s coming from and why. On the other hand, we are currently unable to provide a specific number to call. This is because we have ways for you to get in touch with our representatives to ensure that you are handled by the appropriate team. Please follow the steps below to contact our support through phone or chat.

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account and go to the Help icon.
  2.  Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account. If you don't already have an account, make sure to Create a new account.
  6. We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue. If you have more than one account, select the account you want to use and then Continue.
  7. Choose to chat with us or Have us call you.
